Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Scarsian Limited (“we”, “us”, or “our”), the operator of CoParent Shield, with its registered office at Rm F 2/F Seahorse Lane 16, Discovery Bay, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. These Terms govern your use of the CoParent Shield mobile application (the “App”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. License to Use the App
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own lawful, personal co-parenting documentation. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the App, except as permitted by law.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not:
- Use the App for any unlawful, harassing, or abusive purpose.
- Upload content you do not have the right to record or share.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, other accounts, or our systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App.
3. Your Account
You sign in using a one-time code sent to your email. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email account and for the activity that occurs under your account.
4. Subscriptions and Auto-Renewal
CoParent Shield offers an auto-renewable subscription (“Premium”) on a monthly or annual basis, with a free trial where offered. Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the incidents, expenses, notes, and attachments you create. You grant us only the limited rights necessary to store, process, and display that content to you so the App can function.
6. Disclaimers
CoParent Shield is a private documentation tool. It does not provide legal advice and is not a substitute for a lawyer, mediator, or other professional. It is not an emergency service — if you or a child is in danger, contact your local emergency services. The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scarsian Limited will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the App.
8. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the App in a way that could harm us or others.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Hong Kong SAR.
