Privacy Policy
CoParent Shield (the “App”) is operated by Scarsian Limited (“we”, “us”, or “our”), with its registered office at Rm F 2/F Seahorse Lane 16, Discovery Bay, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. CoParent Shield helps separated and divorced parents privately document co-parenting incidents and shared expenses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to provide the App:
- Account information: your email address, used to create your account and sign you in with a one-time verification code. We do not store passwords.
- Content you create: the incidents, expenses, amounts, notes, dates, and categories you choose to record.
- Photos and attachments: images you add as evidence to an incident or expense. These are uploaded to our secure storage so they sync to your account.
- Device and usage information: basic technical data such as app version and general diagnostics needed to operate and improve the App.
- Subscription information: your purchase and subscription status, processed through Apple and our subscription provider (RevenueCat). We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the App’s core features — logging incidents and expenses, attaching evidence, and generating reports.
- To authenticate you securely via one-time email codes.
- To manage your subscription and trial.
- To maintain the security, reliability, and performance of the App.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or to track you across other apps or websites.
How Your Data Is Stored
Your records are stored securely and are associated with your account. Only you can access the incidents and expenses you document. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information.
Third-Party Services
- Apple — processes subscription purchases made through the App Store.
- RevenueCat — manages and validates subscription entitlements on our behalf.
These providers handle only the data necessary to perform their function and under their own privacy terms.
Data Retention
We retain your account and the content you create for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is removed as described below.
Account & Data Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings or Profile). Deleting your account removes your incidents, expenses, attachments, and associated personal information from our active systems.
Children’s Privacy
CoParent Shield is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can exercise most of these rights directly in the App, or by contacting us using the details below.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of CoParent Shield after an update means you accept the revised policy.
